Gwynedd Swarm dominated at their first game on the turf against Merion Mercy by a score of 5-0. Morgan Hynes ’22 and Samantha Berish ’ 21 both were able to knock two goals each into the back of the net. Izzy Fiore ’22 was also able to put one in for the Monarchs with assists by Kaylie Griffin ’21 and Cassidy Palazzo ’22. Goalie Grace Galbreath ’21 had four saves in the net for Gwynedd and controlled her territory. Hynes was named Player of the Game for her first two Varsity goals as well. The girls played through terrible weather conditions but were able to pull through with a victory. With only a short season, the Gwynedd Swarm is eager to succeed against all of their upcoming opponents.
