Last weekend, the Gwynedd Performing Arts department presented four completely sold out shows of Legally Blonde. This record-setting event was phenomenal and well deserved with the long, dedicated hours and hard work the cast, crew and directors had put into the musical. The audience was blown away by the amazing talent on and off the stage, from the beautiful music from the pit, breathtaking singing from the cast, intense choreography (performed while jumping rope!) and stunning pink sets and lights. The show featured songs such as “Bend and Snap” and “What You Want”— the crowd absolutely loving them all. Caitlin Scanlon, the actress of Paulette in the red cast, reflects on the experience by saying, “Playing Paulette in Gwynedd’s production was such a fun role that allowed me to challenge myself as an actress! Also, my pug, Mavis, got to play Paulette’s dog, Rufus, so playing alongside my puppy was a great experience that I’ll never forget!” Legally Blonde sure was an experience both the department and show attendees will never forget, and the performing arts department will only continue to accomplish spectacular things.
