In keeping with tradition, the tennis team celebrated their senior night last week. This year, the team, along with their parents, honored the two seniors and captains of the team, Lilly Nesbit and Claudia Linares. They have both been a part of the team for all four years and competed as first doubles together this year. They were a powerful duo on and off the court, and it was a wonderful night to show how much they were appreciated and loved by their teammates. The team was happy to celebrate their two seniors who contributed so much to the success of the season. Along with senior night, the team also held their last home match against Merion Mercy. The players were forced to stay on their toes, and there were a few close calls. However, ultimately, Gwynedd pulled through and won the match 4-1. The monarchs have had an overall successful season this year. Their final record was 9-2, placing second in the league. Through lots of practice and teamwork, the tennis team was able to come out at the end of this season victorious and is ready to do it again next year.
