One week for Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School is a fun and different way to contribute back to the school. Student Stewards work extremely hard to communicate with students and alumnae, encouraging donations. They sold butterfly cookies to other students to raise money and keep track of engagement.
There are banners for each grade in the new Commons that track the percentage of donations. The first grade to reach 100% participation receives a shoe pass, and if the whole student body contributes, they earn a Kona Ice truck! This year, the seniors reached 100% participation on day one!
Donations go towards the Mercy Fund, which ensures opportunities and resources for Gwynedd Girls. Students are motivated to help each other and the future of Gwynedd by donating, even if it is just a little bit. This goes along with this year’s tagline, “Supporting every Monarch in each stage of her journey.” This goal was accomplished as there were numerous donations, and Students Stewards executed the week perfectly.
