This year’s junior and senior spring break trip to Italy was more than just a vacation—it was an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and faith. Traveling with Travel For Teens, students had the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic cities in the world while experiencing Italy in a way that brought learning to life.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the trip was its timing. Being in Italy during Easter placed students at the center of one of the most important celebrations in the Catholic Church. In Rome, the group joined thousands of people gathered in Vatican City, where many students witnessed the Pope in person—an experience few will ever forget. Easter in Rome is known for its powerful liturgies and global significance, drawing visitors from around the world to celebrate together.
A highlight of the trip was visiting St. Peter’s Basilica, the heart of the Catholic Church. As the largest church in the world and a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture, the basilica left students in awe with its massive dome, intricate artwork, and spiritual significance. Walking through the same space where centuries of history and faith come together gave many students a new appreciation for both religion and art.
The religious experience continued beyond Rome. In Florence, students toured the famous Duomo, another breathtaking cathedral that stands as a symbol of Italian culture and faith. Climbing and exploring the Duomo allowed students to see firsthand the incredible craftsmanship and dedication that went into its construction, while also reflecting on its importance as a place of worship.
Throughout the trip, students didn’t just observe history—they lived it. From guided tours of Roman ruins to walking through ancient streets, the experience blended education with real-world exploration.
Beyond the landmarks, the trip also strengthened friendships and created lasting memories. Whether it was sharing meals, exploring cities together, or reflecting on the significance of being in Italy during Easter, the experience brought students closer together in a unique and meaningful way.
Overall, the junior and senior trip to Italy was not just a spring break getaway—it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. By combining travel, education, and faith, students returned home with new perspectives, deeper understanding, and stories they will carry with them for years to come.
