On January 11th, 2026, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School hosted their annual Freshman Mother/Daughter Retreat. The day offered a warm, meaningful opportunity for mothers and daughters to connect and deepen their relationships. The retreat was held in the Chapel for a brief prayer service centered on the unique bond between mothers and daughters. Together, everyone prayed, listened, and reflected. Following the service, the group divided. This event offered insight into what freshmen typically encounter during their first year and the pressures they may feel. After about half an hour, the mothers and daughters reunited to share what each group had discussed. They then enjoyed a short snack break, giving students a chance to relax with their moms and friends. The retreat concluded in the Chapel, where everyone reflected on the day’s conversations and experiences.
