On October 9th, the members of the freshmen class of 2028 were able to reflect on themselves and bond with their classmates through Gwynedd’s annual Freshman Retreat. The girls connected with seniors and were given the chance to ask them any questions about the school. The seniors taught the freshmen about Catherine McAuley’s legacy and how it impacted the Gwynedd community through sisterhood. The girls enjoyed making bright matching bracelets with red and gold string and beads. Later that morning, the students gathered in the performing arts center and wrote letters to themselves. The girls need to wait four years before opening their envelope and reading their own thoughts and questions from their freshman year! The retreat was perfect for the girls to relax, meditate, recharge and learn more about Catherine McAuley’s mission of service.
