This year, Health Club hosted Gwynedd’s annual Powderpuff Tournament that falls right before Thanksgiving Break! After missing last year’s because of COVID-19, the club was eager to make this year’s tournament happen! Dressed in green and yellow shirts, the juniors and the freshman battled first. Unfortunately for the freshman, the upperclassmen trumped them, securing a 21-7 win! Following the juniors and freshmen were the seniors and the sophomores. After this game, their shirts weren’t the only thing that were blue: the seniors beat the sophomores! Now it was time for the two winning teams, the juniors and the seniors, to play each other in a final game. After a hard-fought match, the game ended in a tie (7-7), which is unheard of in Gwynedd Powderpuff history! Shoutout to the coaches for being a great asset to each team: Ms. Fasano, Doc C, Mrs. Cymerman, Mrs. Newton, Mrs. Lapp, Mrs. Lane, Dr. Kuyat, and Mrs. Szewczak. Powderpuff is a favorite event at Gwynedd because it brings together all grades right before the break. Congrats to the juniors and seniors and good luck to the teams for next year. Better start practicing!
