Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School celebrated its senior student-athletes on National Signing Day, November 10th, 2021. National Signing Day recognizes all student-athletes with a National Letter of Intent, a commitment to a specific college as an athlete of their intended sport. This year, eight Gwynedd seniors were recognized for their outstanding athletic performance and commitment to pursuing their sport at the collegiate level.

Caroline Caputo will be playing Division III Field Hockey at The Catholic University of America.

Isabella Fiore will be playing Division III Lacrosse at the Catholic University of America.

Sofia Coleman will be playing Division II Basketball at Kutztown University.

Brynn Romberger will be rowing Division II Crew at The Florida Institute of Technology.

Olivia Guarnaccia will be rowing for Division I Crew at The University of Louisville.

Rose Imbesi will be rowing for Division I Crew at Clemson University.

Alaina McVeigh will be playing Division I Field Hockey at Duke University.

Madison Seidel will be playing Division I Softball at Penn State University.

Gwynedd is proud to watch our student-athletes excel on the field, on the court, on the diamond, and on the river, and the girls were especially feeling the love and support on National Signing Day. “I’m super proud to have all my friends here supporting me, and I’m glad I can share this accomplishment with everyone,” says Maddie Seidel when asked to comment on the event. The college commits look forward to the next four years in varsity athletics, but today, they look back on their high school experience, both the game-time memories and the school community that sported the red and gold on the bleachers every game, match, and regatta. “I’m so excited for the next four years. I am so grateful to have all my friends around me and this amazing community. I am going to miss Gwynedd so much. Congrats to all these girls- they all worked so hard and I’m so proud of everybody!” says Rose Imbesi. Congratulations to the student-athlete college commits. The Gwynedd community honors their remarkable athletic achievements and determination in their sport, and we cannot wait to see how high our monarchs fly in the next four years.
