Junior+and+Senior+Prom

On May 5, 2023, the upperclassmen of Gwynedd Mercy Academy danced their hearts out at the Junior-Senior prom. After hours of prep beforehand, the students were ready for the prom being held at Presidential Caterers. Before entering the main room, the girls had to introduce their dates and shake hands with the GMA faculty that had come to attend and chaperone prom. The night started off with a prayer said by the beloved Junior theology teacher Sr. Patti. After prayers were said, the upperclassmen sat down at their tables with a meal and were able to talk to each other before the real party began. Once the music started to pick up speed, more and more students began to make their way to the dance floor ready to party. The night was full of singing and dancing and we have on record that many students danced so much that their feet were sore afterward. Another exciting attraction at prom was a 360 camera where everyone got to pose with masks to represent the masquerade theme of the night. Overall, it was surely a night to remember. Special thanks to teachers, Ms. Monsalve and Ms. Fasano, for all their hard work and dedication to making sure this would be a special celebratory day for the upper-class students.
