Two weekends ago, the juniors and seniors celebrated their winter formal! With a theme resembling the gorgeous chilly season, students entered the building with guests or dates through silver and blue streamers into Gwynedd’s brand new Commons. This is the first formal to ever be held in the new wing of the academy, as the dance floor had previously been located in the gym. Students were able to enjoy delicious snacks and refreshments, from spicy mac and cheese bites to the famous chocolate chip cookies, provided by Brock in the servery, take fun photos on a red carpet runway and dance the night away in the commons area. Everyone had a blast with the DJ’s playlist, featuring classics and hits like “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield or ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” The winter formal is always a Gwynedd tradition treasured by the community, and the upperclassmen sure cannot wait for prom, which is only less than 2 months away!
