On December 14, Gwynedd held their annual tradition of Candlelight. Gwynedd’s orchestra, string ensemble, acapella group, Glee Club, and Chorale performed beautiful renditions of Christmas carols and songs. The time-honored tradition of seniors acting out the tableaus was also continued during this event. The girls create the nativity scene of Jesus, with the Shepards and the three Maji coming to visit the blessed family. A poll is held to decide the actors. This year, Gracelyn Parenti, Scarlett St. Clair, Sydney Mandato, Emily Bilko, Bryn Delaney, Mary Kate Donahue, Olivia Spector, Trinity Meehan, Reiley Walsh, Alana Melinson were chosen to be in the performance. As usual, the senior class added to the viewing as they processed onto stage dressed as angels. Parents, family, faculty, and alumni were all invited to the event as it was the first non-covid restricted Candlelight since 2019.
