This past weekend, Gwynedd welcomed alumnae back to campus for a reunion and special celebration honoring the milestone classes ending in zero and five. Upon arrival, alumnae were escorted to our chapel by current students where they gathered for a prayer service. Following the service, the celebration continued in our Connelly Commons, which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion. Guests enjoyed delicious food prepared by Brock, and drinks served from the bar. The alumnae were also invited to tour the school, and many of them took the opportunity to revisit familiar halls and classrooms.
It is safe to say, the alumnae were very impressed with what Gwynedd has become. Not only did they admire the renovations throughout the school but also commented on how well-rounded today’s students are. One of Gwynedd’s Ambassador’s, Sophia Justice ‘26 reflected, “It was very nice to see all the women reunite with one another. One woman was very infatuated with the Gwynedd beach. The alumnae appreciated how driven and prepared us students were. They noticed our ambition, outgoingness, and work ethic,”
As a community, it is meaningful to hear former students recognize and celebrate current Gwynedd girls, despite the age difference. Gwynedd is pleased to know our alumnae continue to feel a deep connection to our school and are proud to call Gwynedd Mercy their Alma Mater.
