On Saturday, May 3, Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School’s Fathers’ Club hosted its annual Father-Daughter Night at the Phillies, bringing together students and their dads for a fun evening of baseball, bonding and school spirit. The event took place at Citizens Bank Park as the Phillies faced off against the San Francisco Giants in a 6:05 p.m. game. The event was completely sold out, with strong participation from the Gwynedd community. Tickets included reserved seating for Gwynedd families and an invite to an exciting tailgate prior to the game. The outing offered students and their fathers a chance to spend quality time together outside of school while cheering on Philadelphia’s hometown team. The Fathers’ Club has been organizing the Phillies Night for several years, and it continues to be one of the most anticipated events on the spring calendar. This year’s game was a blowout, with the Phillies putting up a strong front, 7-2. Spirits remained high throughout the night. Gwynedd students and dads could be seen proudly wearing school gear and Phillies caps and capturing memories with photos throughout the stadium. Events like Father-Daughter Night reflect the tight-knit community at Gwynedd Mercy Academy and the commitment of the Fathers’ Club to creating opportunities for students to connect with their families in fun, meaningful ways. For those who missed out this year, the Fathers’ Club hopes to bring the event back again next spring—and if this year’s quick sellout is any indication, tickets will go fast.
