Gwynedd successfully hosted its annual Global Potluck last Friday, April 25th, bringing together the school community to celebrate cultural diversity through a vibrant food festival. Held during both WIN periods, the event featured a wide array of homemade dishes representing various cultures from around the world. Students and faculty contributed their favorite dishes, and participants were welcomed to sample multiple cuisines. The school thoughtfully provided serving pans and ingredient cards to accommodate dietary restrictions. The efficient ticketing system created an accessible way for everyone to experience the diverse culinary offerings. This year’s Global Potluck held special significance as proceeds supported the Zoe Rodgers Class of ‘19 Memorial Scholarship Award. The scholarship honors Zoe’s legacy of inclusivity, leadership and compassion within the Gwynedd Mercy community. Funds raised will directly benefit a current student, continuing Zoe’s positive impact on the school. The event showed weeks of planning, with students signing up to bring dishes, serve during their lunch periods and work the ticket table. Mrs. Fasano and student organizers coordinated the successful event, which coincided with the school’s spirit week, adding to the festive atmosphere.
