Last Friday at Gwynedd Mercy Academy, the incoming Freshman were given a warm welcome by all the current students at Gwynedd during Mercy Mania. The new freshman got to see what the sisterhood at Gwynedd is really like, as well as meet their future classmates. The night started off with an exciting entrance when each new student left their parents’ side to run through a tunnel of cheering Gwynedd girls dressed up in their red and gold. Each new student was assigned to a group where they met new friends and branched out of their comfort zones. Then, each group went into a classroom where they did ice breakers and many fun activities. When the new freshman entered the PAC, they got to see a video that gave them a tour of the school, watch a skit performed by the juniors and participate in cheers with the rest of the school. By the end of the night, the incoming freshmen felt the powerful Mercy Spirit and made many connections that they will have forever. Overall, the night was a huge success and so much fun. The juniors did a phenomenal job putting the event together and the underclassman showed a very cordial welcome. Although starting high school can be tough and a huge change, this event left the incoming freshmen excited to attend Gwynedd in the fall and put their nerves at ease.
