The few days before Thanksgiving at Gwynedd were truly a blast. To begin the Thanksgiving festivities, Gwynedd’s outstanding chefs made the GMAHS students, faculty and staff a Thanksgiving feast! They made turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, dinner rolls and pie. Everything was absolutely delectable. This feast was the perfect way to put all the girls, faculty and staff in the Thanksgiving spirit. To continue celebrating, Gwynedd hosted a special Thanksgiving Liturgy. It was important that the GMAHS community came together and lifted their hearts to God in gratitude. The community expressed how thankful they were this Thanksgiving season through prayer. GMA continued celebrating the next day as well. The community got a first glimpse of one of Gwynedd’s biggest blessings this year. Students, faculty and staff walked through Gwynedd’s brand-new wing for the first time ever. The new wing had been under construction for over a year, and this was the first time it was open for the GMAHS community to see. Juli Short, a junior at Gwynedd says, “It was super cool to see the designs on the computer come to life. Walking through the wing after months of construction was so new and exciting!” The entire school was so happy to see this wing come to life. After the walk-through, the students were dismissed for PowderPuff— a Gwynedd tradition! Overall, Gwynedd did the Thanksgiving season perfectly. We have so much to be thankful for, here at Gwynedd.
