Congratulations to the soccer, field hockey, volleyball and crew teams on their fantastic seasons! These teams have been hard at work since the beginning of August in preparation for their seasons. On November 2nd, Varsity field hockey met The Mount for the third time this season in the District 1 AA Championship. After two previous losses, Gwynedd beat The Mount in a 3-2 victory under the lights to win the district championship. Two goals were scored by Kendall DeLuca, and the game-winner by Rory Saxon. Field hockey plays in the first round of states on November 5th against Elizabethtown at home. Varsity Soccer qualified for District 1 AAA Playoffs, but unfortunately lost in a tough battle resulting in a 3-1 scoreline, with Phoebe Koller as GMA’s scorer. Volleyball had a great season with an 8-12 record! Finally, the crew team has been putting in the work for upcoming regattas and the competitive spring season. A special congratulations to all the athletes who made the All-League and Conference teams!
