Many little princesses and superheroes came to Gwynedd on Saturday, March 23 to take part in Gwynedd’s annual Character Breakfast. Hosted by Mercy Effect, a club made up of Gwynedd students who are passionate about volunteering and helping others, the breakfast was a fun-filled morning for children, parents, and volunteers. The halls of Gwynedd were transformed into a magical experience. The gym became Mickey Mouse’s clubhouse, which held a dance party, Virtual Reality, red carpet, and opportunities to take pictures with the characters. The cafeteria was turned into Radiator Springs Cafe with food and beverages. The classrooms were transformed into a variety of stations including superhero training, glam rooms that had opportunities to get hair and makeup done, and craft rooms. The breakfast was held to raise money for two Mercy charities: Mercy Beyond Borders and Mercy Neighborhood Ministries. Overall, the Character Breakfast was a huge success for the Mercy Effect club and everyone else involved.
