Underclassmen Winter Formal

On Saturday, January 28th, the underclassmen of Gwynedd had their annual winter formal. The freshmen and sophomores had been looking forward to this event for months, and the Student Council representatives put lots of time and hard work into planning the event with Mrs. Daly and Mrs. Clearkin. Sophomore class president, Caitlin Scanlon ’25 reflects on the experience by saying, “We all collaborated to make something truly amazing for our class. Each committee had its own job, like decorating and food, and crushed it!”

The theme of the fun night was “The City of Brotherly Love,” and the school building was decorated with painted signs of Philadelphia sports teams, and the famous “LOVE” sign. Upon entering the dance, students and their guests would have the opportunity to walk down a red carpet for a photographer to capture the moment. The night was beyond exciting, with students jumping in the gym, dancing and singing to hit songs such as “Sweet Caroline,” and eating a delicious meal consisting of chicken, pretzels, spring rolls, and the famous Brock cookies prepared by the Gwynedd chefs in the cafeteria. It was a lovely evening, and Gwynedd students are so grateful to have this yearly celebration!
