Gwynedd’s 2020 Mercy Day celebrations were in full swing on September 24th as our seniors and freshmen flooded the red and gold corridors followed by the sophomores and juniors on the 25th. The Mercy Day Liturgy was beautiful, and seeing Sister Christi, Sister Susan, and Sister Patti renew their vows is a tradition beloved by all members of the community. Student leaders were honored in club inductions which were followed by fun filled Mercy Day activities in classrooms and outside. Kickball was a major hit, pitting red cohort against gold cohort and homeroom against homeroom. Indoor activities took place in homerooms and included Kahootsand Scattegories! Lunch was provided by Brock; students spread out on the softball fields with beach towels to enjoy their delicious chicken fingers and mac and cheese. On Thursday, seniors and freshmen big and little sisters met for the first time for a tropical themed picnic! Big shoutout to student council for providing water ice and leis! We are so thankful for everything Gwynedd staff and administration are doing to keep us in school as well as organize fun activities such as Mercy Day in a safe way. We are so glad to be back in school together and can’t wait to see what else this year has in store!
